The Grantsville Municipal Election schedule for June 3rd, 2025 had a question raised by voters as to why there was not a write -in space on the paper ballot, since there was a write in candidate.
Upon contacting Casto and Harris Printing, who printed the ballots, their staff said that unless there was more than one person to vote for – and not enough candidates listed, there would not be a write-in line on the ballot. However, at the top of the ballot it clearly instructs that, should you desire to write in a candidate, that candidate’s name should be written in the appropriate location on the front of the ballot.
Candidates running for office are those listed above as well as Shannon Waldron, running as a write in candidate for the position of Recorder. Voters must take the initiative on their own to write a candidate in if not listed on the ballot.
