
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, eighty-two year old Charles Klapka of Chloe, WV stated that he had lost control of his car after he heard a loud “pop”, for which he assumed his tire had blown. He then drove off the road in the 18000 block of Route 16 South and hit a concrete culvert causing his Ford Focus to flip.
Mr. Klapka sustained minor injuries to his arm.

Sheriff Graham Knight is the investigating Officer, Minnie Hamilton EMS treated Mr. Klapka on scene, the Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Department assisted with traffic and Westfall’s Wrecker Service removed the car from scene.
