Several local folks attended the Wood Festival.
One of Jim Justice’s companies had a process server call in Creston one day last week. Seems they need more cash.
The Creston area received some significant rain and a little hail. Streams are up and some significant limbs have fallen.
Kathleen Cervone & Barbara Wright are back home after taking Nancy Wright back to her residence in Florida.
Those who have problems with the present education system note that scholars are not taught to think. Well, it turns out that there is a reason for that. Back over a century ago John D. Rockefeller, Sr. stated, “I don’t want a nation of thinkers; I want a nation of workers.” Back then he put $$$ in the education system and, of course, the globalists do not want citizens who can think either — it’s easier to control the sheeple. Peasants know that they are not allowed to think.
Speaking of the Rockefellers, Hope Gas has now come forth with new plans for gas meters on the lines that they said they wanted to abandon. There will be a monthly $700 meter fee and there will be a deduction for 30% line loss and with the low gas prices presently and for the past few years that means there will be no meters on their lines. As one oil & gas accountant noted, “Most meters currently don’t generate $700/month.” A meeting is planned to discuss the issue at Jeff Isner’s place on Martin’s Branch down below Charleston. It is the old Hard Rock office now operated by Pillar Energy, etc. It was said that this Hope Gas proposal was postponed until February 2026. GoWVA the big boys oil & gas group is involved and Hope Gas is a kingpin. Stay tuned.
It should be obvious that the Big Boys do not want anyone else in their sand box or playpen so freeze them all out. Along those lines it was reported that Enron [operating as EOG or Enron Oil & Gas] just purchased Encino for $5.6 billion. Both are operating in the Utica in Ohio and Encino was owned by a Canadian government retirement system. The Utica in Wirt & Calhoun counties is 1100 feet thick. Back circa 1967 the famous Bruce Bell well was drilled at Sanoma and one of the partners was called Belco which became Enron. The famous Red Adair came to W. Va. To put out the fire which happened when “things went wrong”.
Some folks with farm backgrounds hope to build greenhouses next to the AI centers in Ohio to utilize the heat and CO2 for winter greenhouses. When the government is out of the way folks can utilize opportunities for good [and profit].
Expand Energy (the merger of Chesapeake & Southwestern or SWN) announced that their BW Edge 210 H well in Marshall County was drilled horizontally for 5.6 miles.
Back in December the Biden administration gave the Kraft Heinz company $170 million to “fight global warming” as their ‘star’ John Heinz Kerry flew all over the globe in a private jet talking the talk. Back then $5.9 million was shoveled out of the treasury door but now the rest has been cut off. Now it will be not global warming ketchup, relish & pickles. Oh, woe.
The whip poor wills have returned to Creston. Randy Bunner said the first one he heard was around June 1. Friday night after the big rain the tree frogs [toads] were putting on quite a concert.
The comely Kim was visiting her mother Wilma Mowrey. Some local folks were consulting with their medical experts. There is a cough that lasts for weeks.
Catalpa trees are blooming as are hollyhocks.
The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude inched up to $63.58/bbl. With condensate fetching $45.58/bbl. And Marcellus & Utica light bringing $52.58/bbl. West Texas oil was $63.99 and Brent (North Sea) oil was $66.47/bbl. Elsewhere natural gas was $3.78. Gasolene in Parkersburg can be obtained for $2.64/gallon. It should be noted that Pennsylvania grade crude is used for high dollar products, not motor fuel. If the folks down at the Mouth of the Elk [and in Columbus & Harrisburg] really cared about their states and economies, they would see to it that Pennsylvania grade crude would sell at a realistic price based on the value of its components. It is the equivalent of selling cherry veneer logs for pulpwood prices.
