Hello, my name is Ronnie (Dakota) Laughlin. I am a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, and I am proud to call it home. I am running for Calhoun County Commissioner because I have always had hope for Calhoun County, and I always will. Sure, Calhoun has faced its share of hardships and struggles, but what has prevailed is the PEOPLE of Calhoun County, who are some of the nicest, most hard-working people anywhere.
My decision to run for County Commissioner stems from wanting the citizens of Calhoun County to have a voice and for the betterment and FUTURE for generations to come. A future where people aren’t forced to leave for work and opportunity but rather have the option for both right here at home.
Some of my main goals to achieve are
-Ensure transparency and fiscal responsibility for the citizens of Calhoun County
-Strengthen, support, and grow local small businesses, which are the backbone of our community
– Attract new business and promote entrepreneurship within our community
-Focus on population retention and growth
-Work to improve & expand critical infrastructure, including water, sewer, power, and fiber optic
-Work TOGETHER as a team and unify the county. If we work together, Calhoun County will have great success!
-And lastly, but most importantly, be the ears and voice for the community.
