Tuesday evening, the Calhoun County Red Devils’ Middle School Softball Team traveled to Doddridge County for a LKC match up. Mandy Johnson pitched a five inning, one hit game. She tallied up eight strikeouts with five walks allowed.
The Lady Devils’ offense was on fire with thirteen hits and thirteen RBI’s. They scored two runs in the first inning, seven in the second, and six in the fifth, making the score fifteen to zero. CMS Softball batted for a combined average for the night of .419.
The Calhoun defense was almost perfect; only having one error in the field all night.
Doddridge got on the board in the bottom of the fifth with two runs. After the inning was over, the mercy rule took effect.
It was a great night to be a Red Devil!
