
Deputy H.M. Stephens filed a complaint in the Magistrate Court of Calhoun County on April 13th, 2026 charging 18 year old Erica Leann Lynch of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia with Strangulation.
Deputy Stephens stated that on April 13th, 2026 at approximately 4:45 p.m. she was dispatched to a domestic-in-progress on Spring Run Road, Arnoldsburg.
The caller had advised that an 18-year-old female had “beat up” her mother and grandmother. Upon the arrival of Deputy H.M. Stephens and Sheriff Graham Knight the caller advised that Erica Lynch had gotten into an argument with her grandmother and had grabbed her by the neck while she was on the couch. She stated that Ms. Lynch’s mother, had “bear hugged” Ms. Lynch and pulled her off the victim. She advised that the altercation moved to the kitchen area, where Ms. Lynch bit her grandmother. Deputy Stephens observed bruising around the victim’s neck and a bloody mark on her wrist where she stated she had been bitten. The victim stated that Ms. Lynch had grabbed her by the neck and that she could not breathe until she had been pulled off.
Erica Lynch was arrested booked on April 13th, 2026 into the WV Central Regional Jail having been charged with the felony charge of strangulation. Bond was set at $25,000.
