Maria Lynn White, 60, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on August 19, 2026, at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.
Maria was born in Warren, Pennsylvania, to Billy Foster and the late Marybell Cottrell. She was a 1983 graduate of Spencer High School and worked for several years at Hardman’s in Spencer.
Maria enjoyed the simple things in life and especially loved hunting and fishing, thrifting, and doing crafts. She also cherished the time spent with her family, especially spoiling Rylee Rae.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas White, whom she married in 1983, sharing 43 years of marriage; her father, Billy Foster; her son, Drew White (Ashley); her sister, Mary Freeland (Billy); her granddaughter, Rylee Rae; her niece, Jadah Freeland; her nephew, Clifford Foster, and her beloved fur baby Doodle Bug.
In addition to her mother, Marybell Cottrell, Maria was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Foster.
In accordance with Maria’s wishes, she will be cremated, and no services will be held at this time.
Matheny Whited Funeral Home, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
