Although the CHS Homecoming Parade ended with soggy children and staff after a downpour of rain, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the CHS football team as they took on Richwood High School and left victorious with a 63-42 win on the CMHS field for the 2026 Calhoun Homecoming. Two games and two wins brings an excitement to the mix for next week’s competition with Wirt County, coached by a Calhoun alumni, Coach Jason Hickman. Next weeks game is expected to be a harder fought battle and it’s hoped that the winning mindset will be the attitude of the Calhoun players.
