Harry W. “Bill” Walker, 92, of Gandeeville, West Virginia passed away on September 27, 2026 at Roane General Hospital.
He was born on October 10, 1933. He was the son of the late George Forrest Walker and Mary Gladys (Pence) Walker. He was a graduate of the Walton High School and member of the Mt. Welcome Union Church. He worked as a supervisor at Kellwood for many years along with the Walton PSD and the Walton Thriftway, where he was known as the “Hardware Man”.
Harry was a 50-year member of the Walton Masonic Lodge #150. He enjoyed his life to include his church, gardening, Nascar Races, and attending the Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Jo Holcomb, and second wife Gertha (Westfall) Walker; one daughter Helen Joyce Young; one step-daughter Karen Moss; one step-son Randy Holcomb; and one grandson Brian William Canterbury.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters Jerry Walden of Elkview, West Virginia; Cathy Canterbury (Calvin) of Clendenin, West Virginia; one step-daughter Ranita (Lloyd) Burns of Clendenin, West Virginia; one step-son Roger (Fraun) Holcomb of Virginia; several grandchildren, great grand children and great- great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Taylor Vandale Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Wade officiating and public visitation to be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Burial will follow with Masonic Graveside Rites at Eventide Cemetery in Spencer, West Virginia.
