The big Creston Halloween Party will be Saturday, October 24 at 5 P. M. With a covered dish meal. It is the occasion where children of all ages can dress up and “be somebody”. There will be prizes for each age group, starting with infants & toddlers to the “mature”. For details on the meal call Barb at 275-0006. On past occasions even presidents have visited Creston. Who will show up this time?

Those who live in Creston west of the Little Kanawha River bridge were to have a scheduled power outage from 1 AM until 5 A. M. However, it was not until 11 AM before the electric came back on. Many have noted that electric service locally is poor at best and interruptions in service are commonplace.

It was reported that natural gas for January delivery to New England will cost $20 while the Henry Hub price is $3.30 and the Texas Eastern M-2 (the price for local gas going into interstate pipelines) was $1.05. When the current Massachusetts governor was the AG there she bragged about stopping natural gas from coming into “her” state. Now, she is begging for gas to be brought to Bean Town. It would seem that Pixie Dust didn’t work out so well.

In all this discussion about natural gas for export, as LNG, gas to run power plants for data centers that are necessary for SI (super intelligence) it seems that gas to make ammonia & urea for fertilizer “fell through the cracks”. It should be noted that the Creston News writer lives to eat and without fertilizer some will go hungry and other may actually starve. Ammonia & Urea plants need to be located away from dense populations but, especially in southern West Virginia there are lots of sites that have rail access.
Those who follow the news can observe that likely France as a nation is lost. The invaders have joined up with the resident communists and are now burning down the nation. West Texas intermediate was $99.92 and Brent (North Sea crude) ws $109.86/bbl. The price for Pennsylvania grade crude in W. Va. Is $99.41/bbl. With condensate fetching $82.41/bbl.
