Minnie Hamilton Health Systems opened not only their newest facility but the adjacent Calhoun County Livestock pole barn and lawn filled with Paw Patrol and Inflatables for a fun family evening. The Community event provided tours of the new clinic and an opportunity to meet some of the staff.
The Clinic located at 89 Spring Run Road, Arnoldsburg, (which was once the Arnoldsburg Elementary School) has been reconfigured to provide medical services that will be convenient to the southern side of the County. Their hours of operations will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 304-354-5995.
Hannah Moore, Associate Administrator provided a tour of the new (yet to be furnished) board room to members of the Minnie Hamilton Board, Jean Simers, Donald Pitts and Martha Haymaker.

Five Exam rooms, a provider’s Office and Procedure room offer staff ample room to see multiple patients.
Lobby/Waiting Room provides plenty of seating for waiting patients.

Wendy Beall, PRN, FNP-BC will be one of the providers at the Arnoldsburg Clinic. Wendy was born and raised in Stumptown, WV and currently resides in Perkins, WV with her husband, and youngest son on a farm. She has three sons and a beautiful granddaughter. Wendy obtained her BSN degree from Glenville/WVU in 2003 and went on to obtain her MSN degree from WVU in 2012. After obtaining her Nurse Practitioner Degree she has worked in the Family Practice setting for the last nine years.
Another Provider is Jennifer McCumbers, FNP-C. Jennifer is a longstanding member of Calhoun County where she currently resides with her husband and two sons. She started her nursing career as an LPN in 2002. She completed her RN degree in 2005 from Hocking College. In 2016 she achieved her advanced practice nursing degree and successfully completed her Masters in Science of Nursing in 2020 from the Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Pole Barn built for the Calhoun county Life Stock Association was a perfect place to host picnic tables and vendors for the community event.
Bounce houses kept children entertained while parents toured the facilities and enjoyed food and vendors in the barn.

The Calhoun County Commission met for their August meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12th, 2024. The meeting opened on the courthouse steps with the auction of the Country Lane Property purchased for the Animal Shelter which ended up not being suitable.
