April Dawn Carpenter appeared on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 for entry of plea on the charge of Grand Larceny. A plea agreement was entered into with the defendant facing one to ten years in the penitentiary or regional jail for 1 year and a fine of $2,500.00. In return for her plea there would be no opposition to a bond reduction allowing Carpenter to enter a treatment program in Romney, WV. Her case was referred to Alicia Lawson, Probation officer for pre-sentence investigation with sentencing set for April 6th, 2023 at 1:45 p.m.
