Betty Rose Lingle, 79, of Beach City, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her home.
She was born August 16, 1946, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Basil and Zelma Metz Rose.
She grew up in Gauley Bridge, WV and graduated from Gauley Bridge High School. She had worked at Apple Creek State Hospital and Alpine Cheese factory.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Birdie Dell Phillips, Delma Jean Barton, Velva D. Woods, Rotha Lee Rose, Jarret Rose, Jennings “Dink” Rose, and James Nelson Rose; nephew Tim Woods; niece Vickie Akers; Billy Woods, Earl Dale Phillips, Gary Phillips, Cookie Barton Heizman, Jerry Rose, and John David Rose.
Left to cherish Betty’s memory is her life-long partner of 42 years, David R. Hysong, Sr.; step-sons and spouses, David R. Hysong, Jr. (Tammy) of Safford, AZ; Michael W. Hysong (Tonia) of Navarre, Ohio; and Troy A. Hysong (Jamie) of Front Royal, VA; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Road, Arnoldsburg, WV 25234 on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
