Craig Blankenship is back in the hospital dealing with an infection after the amputation of his foot [because of an infection in his ankle].
The big summer Creston ATV poker run will be July 29 with signups ending at noon. There will be biscuits and gravy to start the day which should be a lot of fun for the riders. There are several sections of mud puddles to traverse with some with green pond scum to test out the he men & Amazon wimmen and their machines that “can go anywhere”. There’ s lots of water as well as scenic views, creek bottoms, trails through the brush & weeds and play areas. As usual it might be well to bring tow ropes and working winches, tire repair kits and such. Also, folks like to see videos of challenging situations such as chariots being extricated from deep puddles and such. Twelve year old Aaron Burdette came down from Ohio to help set up the route. Roane County might want to hire him on as he showed his skills in fixing one Roane road so that it was passable for four wheelers & side by sides. Initially it had been thought that there would have to be a detour around the “fun” section which obviously the state does not maintain. Why, dontcha know we have no money as we blew it all on our out of state contractor friends trimming tree tops so the sun can hit the road as that is “core maintenance”. Because of a broken arm he was unable to participate in the spring poker run.
Virginia Agnus Merrill, age 97, passed away. She was the widow of Ed Merrill [not the river boat man] and was a teacher in Wood County. She was a daughter of Wirt & Marjorie Lee who lived in the Lost Run country. Wirt Lee was a brother of W. Va. Atty. General Howard B. Lee who was known locally as Bert Lee. Howard B. Lee lived well past the century mark and wrote about the local area. At age 101 his mind was sharp although he was stone deaf. The Lees sister Nell was married to Perry dePue.
Debbie Griffin who has been on the sick list with pneumonia fever is somewhat on the mend.
Thomas deVries’ chariot “died” and was towed back to Creston.
Gary Dickens is a master of making airplanes from recycled cans. He lives on the Ann’s Run road in Creston.
It is notable from those having occasion to travel around some that a significant amount of first cutting hay still remains uncut. Over in the Pee Wee neighborhood some fine second cutting hay is being put away to feed hungry cattle this winter. The USDA has now approved “lab grown meat”. According to what the rulers say only the elite will be allowed [can afford]] to eat the real stuff.
Butch Deer’s crew was hauling oil from Creston and men from Mother Hope and Diversified were also calling in the area. There were also additional electric power outages. A concerned electric man called to ask if it would be OK to hold off on fixing electric to an oil well so some homes would have power first. Well, of course.
Nancy Wright, who lives in sunny Florida, is visiting Barb Wright to escape the tropical heat for awhile. Some of the green weenies want to ban air conditioning since that is “pollution”. Along those lines gas hot water heaters are now on the verboten list. No hot showers now during power outages — at least for the peasants. Such rules likely will not apply to the elites [the ruling class]. The haughty John Kerry got very upset when he was asked about his lifestyle while he wants & intends to put the hurt on “the great unwashed”. How dare they have automobiles, boats, four wheelers, cook stoves, refrigerators, hunting and fishing cabins. Don’t they know their place?

The comely Kim was visiting her mother Wilma Mowrey on the occasion of the first birthday party for Cooper Campbell. Kim is going to be going to work for the FBI.

Connie Boggs went up in Ohio to go camping and caught some scaly, finny critters. Donald gave her a fresh mess of green beans which she said she was going to cook with lots of tasty bacon.
Local residents were making their routine medical, eye & physical therapy appointments although, it seems, such is now longer news.

The deliberate spread of TB infected children across the US is a matter of concern since the new TB is drug resistant. Are we being set up for the population control spoken about by cackling Kamala Harris?
The price for local Pennsylvania grade crude rose to $76.07/bbl. with the price of condensate is $60.07.bbl. Marcellus & Utica light fetched $67.07 and medium $76.07/bbl. Henry Hub [Louisiana] natural gas spiked to $2.76/MMBTU.
