In a complaint filed in Calhoun Magistrate Court on September 25th, 2023, Trooper J.D. Richards stated that on Monday, September 25th, 2023 at around 1:40 p.m. in the afternoon, he was made aware of a male at the address of 1249 Road Fork Road in Big Springs, Calhoun County that was involved with property damage to a residence and vehicle. Trooper Richards and Sheriff Graham Knight traveled to the scene where Kyle Blattert was on the porch of the residence.
Upon examining the vehicle reported damaged the Trooper observed marks made by a carpenters straight edge that was laying within 10 feet as stated by the victim to Calhoun Dispatch. The Trooper saw clear line-like dents on the vehicle as well as damage to a rear basement door that appeared to have been made by the same instrument.
Mr. Blattert was reportedly heavily intoxicated upon Trooper Richards arrival on scene and had been for some time. The incident escalated until the victim barricaded herself in the residence where she and Mr. Blattert reside.
When Kyle Blattert was arrested he stated that he had done wrong and that he had a problem with alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of destruction of property and taken to the Central Regional Jail where he awaits his hearing being held on a $3,000 bond.
What is wrong with you people ? to publish the name and address of a crime victim is criminal or should be in WV. In MD it is criminal to do so . It’s a Victims right to remain anonymous . Any friend or acquaintance of the perpetrator armed with the information you provided may seek to intimidate or otherwise criminality dissuade the victims testimony .
