In a Statement released from Sgt. C. J. Weekley of the Grantsville Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, the name of the person found on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 in the area of Big Bend was Bonnie Sharshon.
Following a call from a concerned friend, who stated that she had not seen her friend for a few weeks, a well check visit by Trooper J.D. Richards and Sheriff Graham Knight led to the discovery of Ms. Sharshon’s body. No foul play was suspected, nor was any found by the State Medical Examiner upon autopsy.
Ms. Sharshon had no apparent family.
