The office of Prosecuting Attorney Michael Hicks provided an update on the Circuit Court case involving Jeffrey Brannon, a former bus driver for Calhoun County Schools, charged with DUI Resulting in Serious Injury (3 counts), Gross Child Neglect Resulting in Risk of Death (16 counts) and Child Neglect Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (3 counts) from a March 4th, 2024 accident.
During his previous court date, Judge Anita Harold Ashley ordered that more questionnaires be sent out to additional jurors. The next hearing date is scheduled for March 6, 2025 at 3pm, with the trial date set for trial April 15, 2025.
