On Sunday October 30th the Calhoun Little Red Devil B team traveled to Tyler County to face Williamstown for the LKC championship. The Little Devils came into the game as the #1 seed out of the South with a perfect 10-0 record. Their opponent, the Williamstown Stingers, were the #1 seed out of the North and were also undefeated at 9-0. Although the Devils were undefeated they came into the game outsized and outmanned. Williamstown was bigger and had just last season knocked the Little Devils out of the playoffs. However, what Calhoun lacked in size they made up for in heart, hustle and toughness. From the start of the game Calhoun moved fast and hit the Stingers hard. Both teams played hard and gave the fans a show as they battled clear until the final second came off the clock.
As the clock hit 0.0 at the end of the game Calhoun came out victorious by the score of 12-6. This victory sealed this group of kids second championship as they won the C team championship in 2020.
