Calhoun Park Ponds Open for Trout Fishing

The Calhoun County Park pond will be open to trout fishing this Saturday, January 7th. The first day will be for the youth.

This stocking was made possible by the people who donated to the GoFundMe account set up for stocking the park. The previous stocking was made possible by our friendly, local Dominion Energy, now Hope.

The limit is six fish. You must park in the parking area and walk to the pond. Also, ice fishing is prohibited.

Please enjoy the recreational opportunity. Thanks to everyone that made it possible.

Youth Fishing Day at Calhoun County Park

Hazel was one of the many youth who enjoyed their day fishing in newly stocked ponds by Hope Gas at the Calhoun County Park. On Saturday morning, April 27th, 2024 Hazel caught a nice size bass, but refused to get her picture taken with the “scary fish.” (Below)
