Creston News: Local Deer and Foreign Beef

Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church and served Holy Communion.

The Creston Community Building regular meeting will be Tuesday, December 5 at 6 P. M. First thing on the agenda is the election of officers.  All dues paying members can vote.

Deer harvest around Creston was not what one could call “spectacular” as the “Big Bucks” remained elusive.  Jerry Bunner got a nice rack and Jackie Sue’s young son Jackson got a buck on his very first hunting venture.  Area residents have been busy canning deer meat.  With canned goods one does not have to worry about power outages. Some deer hunters did find gas leaks.

Thomas & Troi’s baby girl Esmeralda remains in ICU at WVU hospital in Morgantown.  She had a cyst that caused several inches of small intestine to die.  Modern medicine, the result of a free economy, is a wonderful thing.

Mr. & Mrs. Todd Rhodes & daughter Michelle were attending to business at Shade Tree.  Michelle is to go to Guatemala again soon on a mission trip.

There was a big gathering at the Tom Mowrey home to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Now several including Wilma and Kim Mowrey & Roger Goff are ill with a flu like illness.  Now there is a new one in China that makes children very sick and more gain of function research is happening out in Montana and [apparently] in unauthorized facilities operated by foreign nationals in California.  Recently a “younger” woman died on a ventilator in the WVU Camden Clark hospital that some local folks knew.  A number of Calhoun residents have, once again, tested positive for Dr. Fauci’s Wuhan Kung Flu virus.

Linda Wright who lives up in Columbus now has hospice and her sister Nancy who lives in Florida is coming to help.

There will be an oil & gas meeting Saturday, December 2 at 3 P. M. at the Senior Citizens center at 504 Cherry Street in Middlebourne.  Folks who have oil gas & problems,  primarily with the Marcellus & Utica drilling should attend.

There will be a big UN [United Nations] carbon meeting (COP 28) soon at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates with 70,000 attendees with at least 400 private jets bringing in the dignitaries like John Heintz Kerry.  They, of course will stay in air conditioned “high end” hotels and be fed “environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, delicious & nutritious food and beverage.”  A recent study showed that the world’s 1% generated more CO2 that did the poorest 2/3rds of the planet’s population.  Of course no one has yet to show that CO2 is harmful.  More CO2 means more plants which means more food either directly, via grain crops, or indirectly with forage crops that are eaten by tasty animals like rabbits, deer, whistle pigs, regular pigs, cattle, goats, sheep, bison, antelope,  reindeer, elk & moose.  Heintz Kerry said the US should pay “climate reparations” but China does not have to as, well, “they gave at the office”.

The ruling junta has decided to import raw beef from Paraguay, a South American nation noted for its corruption and also the presence of hoof & mouth disease, a terrible disease that was eradicated in the US in 1929.  Obviously money talks and there are those high placed in the US government that are on the take.  If the disease got loose in the nation the beef business might be wiped out and wild game would also be impacted.  Some years back the Clintons had “friends ” in Brazil that raised tobacco and now W. Va. and surrounding states that had a prosperous tobacco business have only vacant tobacco barns.

Talk & murmurings continue over Broadway Joe’s decision not to run again for US Senate.  It was pointed out that his boyhood buddy, Larry Puccio is doing “work” for Jimmy Justice and thus if the uniparty RINOs get their way things will transfer seamlessly.  Puccio is a lobbyist for EQT, Diversified, First Energy (Creston’s electric company), the Greenbrier, Cabot, and Bluestone Energy.  Manchin, via his pal of over 50 years will continue to have his finger in/on both state and national issues.

Corporate raider Kimmerridge a major stockholder in Chesapeake that a merger of Chesapeake with Southwestern (SWN) would be a good deal.  Chesapeake formerly had large holdings in W. Va. and SWN is an active Marcellus driller in the state.

Some may remember the movie “Gasland” and all the warnings about drilling & doom.  Now 14 years have passed and all seems well.  It was reported that our “impared” leader made a deal with the Chinese dictator that we will quit using energy since that other fellow said, scouts honor, that China would too [some time].

Bill Gates the vaccine & population reduction guy apparently made a big deal with his buddy the late Jeff Epstein called Global Health Investment Fund.  Other participants were J. P. Morgan, Pfizer, Merck, Glaxo, Smith Kline and agencies from the governments of Sweden, Canada & Germany.  Nothing like being at the mercy of our ruling elites.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude is $76.10/bbl. with condensate fetching $58.10/bbl.  Marcellus & Utica light is $67.10 with medium $76.10/bbl.  Three (3) thousand cubic feet (mcf) used at Burning Springs cost just $67.89 while Tug Hill sold their Marcellus gas for 66 cents and their Utica gas for $1.01.
