A complaint filed in the Calhoun Magistrate Court of Lora Davis by Cpl. S.W. Perdue of the Grantsville WV State Police Detachment on July 29th, 2025 made the following allegations against Steven Duffield of Main Street in Grantsville, WV.
Cpl. Perdue stated that on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 he was conducting a Burglary investigation that occurred on a previous date. One of the victims of that crime emailed
Cpl. Perdue information that Stephen Duffield was trying to sell numerous items of hers to other individuals. It was discovered that Steven Duffield along with Erika Mollohan resided at the Red Devil at (343 Main Street, Grantsville).
During the course of this investigation Cpl. B. E. Young of the Grantsville Detachment advised he was ascertaining warrants for both Erika Mollohan and Steven Duffeld for a separate offense. Cpl. Perdue, along with Cpl. Young, and Sheriff Knight
traveled to the before mentioned address in attempt to locate both individuals. After announcing his presence Perdue heard a female crying, and a dog barking inside the residence. After some time, law enforcement had to forcefully enter the residence due to the unknown condition of the female inside the residence.
Upon their entry into the residence, Mrs. Mollohan was laying on the bed with an obvious injury to her eye. Also in plain view was items stolen from the before mentioned burglary, and what appeared to be meth and drug paraphernalia laying on the bed, and strung, throughout the apartment.
When the officers arrived back at the detachment this Cpl. Perdue called another victim of the burglary to possibly identify the items. The victim arrived at the detachment and did in fact advise that the item belonged to him another person and was and was in the store.
Another burglary arrived at the detachment with some of the stolen items that was recovered and advised that Bobby Blosser had received the stolen Items from Steven Duffield.
When Cpl. Perdue asked Mrs. Mollohan about the stolen items she who advised she didn’t know how the stolen items got into her residence but the only people who lived at the residence with her was Steven Duffield.
Steven Duffield was taken to the WV Central regional Jail having been charged with Possession of CDS without a valid prescription and Possession of or transfer of Stole Property.
No bond was listed on the Regional Jail site, Steven Duffield is considered innocent until proven guilty.
