Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mid morning auto accident on Nicut Hill, Route 5 West of Grantsville. Cainenon Carpenter, driving a Ford Fusion, swerved twice; once to miss a limb, and once to miss another vehicle causing his car to go into a slide and landing 25-30 feet over the embankment. Neither he or the passenger in vehicle were injured but the car sustained substantial damage.
Recent high winds are cause for caution when driving Calhoun roads.
