Five Forks Accident Results in One Arrest

**2/19/22 UPDATE – Defendant was charged with DUI and released on $3,000 cash bond.

2/18/22 ORIGINAL STORY

Tim Norman was apparently traveling South on Route 16 in the area of Five Forks when he lost control of his Chevrolet Silverado. Home owner Rue Brannon heard a loud noise and came out to discover Norman’s truck on the hillside of his front lawn with airbags deployed, but he was able to get out of the truck uninjured. Calhoun Control dispatched the Calhoun Sheriff’s Department and Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department to the scene at 5:50 p.m.

Investigating Officer, Deputy C.J. Myers found reason to believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor and placed Niorman under arrest to be taken to Calhoun Control to be ran on the breathalyzer to determine his level of intoxication. This is a developing story and may have updates.

Norman’s vehicle traveled about 50 yards through ditch lines and a culvert before landing in Brannon’s lawn.
