Fraternal Order of Police Mountaineer Lodge #78 Endorses Austin Lynch for WV State Senate in District 12

Clarksburg, WV – The Fraternal Order of Police Mountaineer Lodge #78 has formally endorsed Austin Lynch as their candidate of choice for West Virginia State Senate in District 12. Austin Lynch attended a meeting of the FOP Mountaineer Lodge #78, where he shared his vision for West Virginia, met members of the organization, and submitted a request for endorsement which was subsequently approved by the Fraternal Order of Police Mountaineer Lodge #78 Endorsement Committee, according to President Robert Matheny Jr.

Austin Lynch said, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of the FOP. Constitutionally, one of the roles of government is to ‘establish justice’ and ‘insure domestic tranquility.’ It is of utmost importance to foster positive relationships, trust, and mutual respect between law enforcement and the public. I believe we can work together to ensure our police officers are properly funded, trained, and equipped in order to ‘protect and serve’ the citizens of our state and to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and West Virginia.”

Austin Lynch describes himself as a husband, a proud adoptive father, an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, a pastor, a hospice chaplain, a Stonewood City Councilman, and a life-long West Virginian. Senate District 12 consists of western Taylor, Harrison, Lewis, Gilmer, and Calhoun counties. Mountaineer Lodge #78 is the only FOP lodge in Senate District 12.
