In the Magistrate Court of Calhoun County, On September 7, 2025, Sgt. K.M. Williams filed a criminal Complaint against 43 year old Lora Mae Griffin. Sgt. Williams stated that at approximately 2:51 p.m. S/Tpr J.D. Richards responded to 568 Little White Oak Rd, Chloe, WV for a female that was refusing to leave the residence when asked by the land owners, Mr. and Mrs. Brown.

Upon arrival S/Tpr Richards found Lora Griffin at the residence and escorted her from the property advising her not to return.

On the same date, at approximately 6:49 p.m. Sergeant KM Williams was dispatched to the residence as the female was again at the residence. Upon arrival Sgt. Williams spoke to Ms. Griffin who was talking out of her head and advised that Harry Potter was inside the residence and that Mrs. Brown had asked her to bring her daughter back to the residence. When confronted on how this was done she stated that Mrs. Brown had called Ms. Griffin. Ms. Griffin showed the officer her call log and was unable to show him where Mrs. Brown had called her.

Ms. Griffin had brought the neighbors dogs to the residence so Sgt. Williams had to drive the vehicle to the bottom of the hill and returned the animals to their owners and then the officer contacted CPS to respond due to the condition of Ms. Griffin.

The officer (due to the condition of Ms. Griffin), drove the five year old minor to the Grantsville State Police Detachment on the same date at 10:52 p.m.

Upon arrival Sgt. Williams asked Ms. Griffin to exit the vehicle at which time she became defiant and refused his request. She was told to exit the vehicle again or she would be forcibly removed from the vehicle; again she refused to exit the vehicle. She was then physically removed from the vehicle.

Sgt. Williams attempted to place Ms. Griffin into handcuffs at which time she pushed off the building and the officer took Ms. Griffin to the ground where she was physically restrained and later placed into handcuffs.

Lora Mae Griffin was charged with Trespassing, Obstruction and Resisting arrest. She is currently being held in the WV Central Regional Jail with her bond set at $5,000.

Lora Mae Griffin is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
