Following an incident on September 21st, 2023, Cpl. D.C. Moore of the West Virginia State Police charged Matthew Wayne Heiney with Assault, Battery and Destruction of Property and a warrant was served by Sheriff Graham Knight on September 25th, 2023. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
On Monday, December 4th, 2023, Heiney was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and arrested for two counts of Misdemeanor Possession. He is currently being held at the WV Central Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
All Defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
