Inis Eledine Swisher, 97, of Brohard, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024, with her family by her side.
She was born October 1, 1926, at Munday, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph Porter and Lilly Lewis Nwbrough.
She was Baptist by faith. She was a member of the Straight Creek Baptist Church. Inis was most happy when spending time with family. She loved quilting and talked often about the fun times she had going square dancing with her friends.
Inis is survived by one brother Bob Newbrough of Elizabeth, WV, and four sons Arlan Moor of Elizabeth, WV; Dennis Moore (Judy) of Brohard, WV; Mike Moore of Elyria, Ohio; and Larry Moore of Brohard, WV; sister-in-law Louise Newbrough of Brohard, WV; seven grandchildren, Hillary Johnson (Brody) of Vienna, WV; Heather Moore of Parkersburg, WV; Brian Moore (Loreen) of Surprise, AZ; Shannon Welty (David) of Canton, Ohio; Brad Moore of Goodyear, AZ; Kim Jackson (Dave) of Elyria, Ohio; and Misty Coleman of Elyria, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands Gerald Moore and Willis Swisher; three brothers, Bud Newbrough of Elyria, Ohio; Grant Newbrough of Lorain, Ohio, and Jake Newbrough of Brohard, WV; three sisters, Delores Gibson of Elizabeth, WV, Opal Burrows of Brohard, WV, and Faye Lynch of Brohard, WV; daughter-in-laws Debbie Moore of Elizabeth, WV and Jeanne Moore of Elyria, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Jim Bruce.
