Glenville State University Celebrates Monumental Milestone: $1,000,000 Raised!

Glenville, WV – Glenville State University has raised over $1,000,000 in donations during its seventh annual Founders Day of Giving fundraising campaign.

“We are absolutely thrilled to share this incredible news with our entire Glenville community,” said Glenville State President, Dr. Mark A. Manchin. “This achievement would not have been possible without the collective dedication and commitment of our Pioneer family and friends. Their belief in our mission and their continued support have propelled us to reach this significant milestone.”

A pivotal moment in this fundraising journey was the securing of a generous $500,000 match from the Morris Family Foundation. Their support has doubled the impact of donations received and exemplifies the spirit of philanthropy the Morris family is known for.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Morris Family Foundation for their transformative contribution,” President Manchin added.

“This momentous accomplishment is a testament to the unwavering support and generosity of our esteemed donors, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends,” said Vice President of Advancement, David Hutchison. “To all those who have contributed to this remarkable success, we offer our most sincere thanks. Your generosity will empower us to continue providing exceptional educational experiences and transformative opportunities for generations to come.”

The Glenville State University giving site – give.glenville.edu – will be active through Friday, February 23 for those who still wish to contribute to the Founders Day of Giving campaign.
