Iva Rosalin (Rice) Yoak, 95, of Walker, WV, formerly of Grantsville, WV, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 9, 2024.
Iva was born on January 4, 1929, to the late Frances and Sylvia (Callow) Rice in Reedy, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Yoak, one son Roger, and one sister Ada Ball.
She worked several years at the Calhoun County Committee on Aging, where she retired to spend more time with family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Shelia Yoak Ray Richards, Patricia Yoak Van Gilder, and Lisa Yoak Hackney, and one son Franklin Edward Yoak (Judy). Iva has two sisters Velma Wright (Tony) of Little Hocking, Ohio, and Wilma Rymer of Florida.
Iva’s grandchildren include Jayson Ray (Heather) of Belpre, OH, Eryn Miller (TJ) of Walker, WV, Sherry Richardson, Priscilla Barnette, Timothy Ray (Sally) all of Ohio, Stephanie Alderman, Regina Carpenter, and Shantel Sigmon.
Great-grandchildren include Sierra Brown (Max), Cheyanne Barker (Trent), Kyanna Ray, Kaylynn, Bryson and Ryan Miller, Alyssa (Nicholas), Kyle, Allison and Zach Alderman, Qynton and Aliaz Sigmon, Timothy, Lane and Christopher Carpenter, Andy Richardson, Amy Pack, Brianna and Ciara Ray, a bonus grandson, Jason Cunningham (Melissa), and Great-great-grandchild Vera Castle.
Iva had seven sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be at the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Davis officiating.
