For the Record, Ridgeview News did not agree with the State Republican Party decision to exclude the Independent Party from voting for Republicans. But they did it, none the less. So, for the Primary election, if you are registered as an Independent you cannot request a Republican ballot. You are for all intents and purposes a Democrat by proxy.
If all of your chosen candidates are Democrats, then you’re set. But many of those who are Independent, left the Democratic Party because they disagreed with the Democratic agenda. So, if you are a conservative by definition, you will be unable to vote the conservative side of the ballot unless you register as a Republican.
This is not an attempt to increase Republican Registrations. This is Ridgeview News’ attempt to keep you informed and allow you to cast your vote for your candidate. If you want to vote for a Republican, you have until April 19th to switch to the Republican Party. Switching is now easy online. Go to the link below. It only takes two minutes.
