
Larry R. Kendall, 76, of Devola, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Marietta Heights Nursing Home, Marietta, Ohio.
He was born July 29, 1949, in Grantsville, West Virginia, a son of the late Oscar Darris and Glena Bennett Kendall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandparents Oscar Bryan Kendall, Alda Vannoy Kendall, James Lloyd Bennett and Amanda Hughes Bennett.
Larry was a longstanding member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ, Beverly, Ohio. He enjoyed the last several years attending RHDD in Reno, Ohio, where he participated In daily activities and was assigned small jobs such as shredding paper for local businesses, getting the mail from the post office, and answering the phone at the front desk. He was always ready to go on another bus trip when they had one scheduled. He was learning Braille and how to read. Until Covid changed things he enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, doing the 100 yard walk and bowling.
He is survived by his cousin Wayne and Diana Bennett of Devon, Ohio, where he has been residing for the last 16 years, a sister Emma Jean Barker (Eddie) of Elyria, Ohio, also many friends and extended family.

A celebration of life for Larry will be held at the Fifth Street Church of Christ at a later date, TBD.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market Street, Grantsville, WV 26147, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Wayne Bennett officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Mt. Zion, West Virginia.
