Commissioner Eric Lupardus is becoming widely known for his passion for all things Calhoun County. Senator Mark Maynard posted the video below to his social media page and sent a request for Commissioner Lupardus to speak to the Joint Legislative Oversight Commission on Department of Transportation Accountability.
Commissioner Lupardus has been working with Senator Maynard, Jerry Bain and numerous others to put each county in West Virginia on the map, by planning routes through West Virginia, so that rather than taking the interstate, visitors can travel the beautiful back roads of our State.
Senator Maynard said that the West Virginia Department of Highways and the West Virginia Department of Agriculture in a grant relating to the Prunty Town Farm House and a $6 million ARC grant are working to promote Tourism on the back roads of Appalachia in West Virginia. “There’s a lot of hoops we have to jump through dealing with the federal government, but in the end it will be a win for West Virginia,” Maynard said.
