Malcolm Wayne Haught Obituary

Malcolm “Rosebud” Wayne Haught, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at his residence in Fleming, OH. He was born on Monday, June 9, 1958 in Parkersburg, WV to Denzil and Shirley Haught.

Malcolm was a graduate of Calhoun County High School where he excelled as a quarterback for the football team. He went on to have a successful career as a factory worker at Dupont, retiring after over 30 years of dedicated service.

In his free time, Malcolm, the mayor of Rocky Point Road, enjoyed golfing, playing pool, watching Ohio State Football, hunting, driving on back roads with his dogs, and spending time annoying his wife and son in the best possible way.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda, whom he married on December 19, 1987, his son Jon, adopted son Brad Hiener, his mother Shirley Haught, sister Tana Kevak, three sister-in-laws, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at BARLOW CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME in Barlow, Ohio on Saturday, July 6 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Jeff Tucker officiating. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, July 6 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barlow VFD, P.O. Box 121, Barlow, OH 45712.
