Mary Elizabeth Cyrus, 68, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026.
She was born April 18, 1957, in San Francisco, CA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma Lena Bunch Hackett.
She is survived by daughters, Michelle Leek (Michael) of Pine Grove, WV and Kristine Williford (Danny) of Oxford, NC; grandchildren Hallie Carbo, Olivia Dixon (Spencer) of Four Oaks, NC; Sophia Wilson (Corbett) of Oxford, NC; Novina Williford, Magnus Williford and Gunner Williford all of Oxford, NC; great-granddaughter Aubriella Leek; and great-grandson Messiah Watson.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, being co-owner of Taz-Cap, and farming her horses. She loved music with a passion. She loved baking, traveling and spending time with her brother Joseph Hackett and sister Diana Barton, as well as nieces and nephews. Never made anyone feel as if they were a stranger
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service.
