Susan Houchin shared a few photographs from the 1967 flood in the Town of Grantsville. These were on that stretch between the homes of Todd Godfrey and Frank Mascarzyk’s. Susan wrote that the house sitting on left across from Frank’s was where she and her father paddled up the main road in a Jon boat. The following day, that same house had water to the top and only a tennis shoe on top.
The photo with she and her sister was at the home George Whipkeys house as the water came up. We evacuated them to our house before it covered the house.
