Nina Carolyn Lane, 80, went to be with the Lord on Friday September 27, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born July 2, 1944, in Calhoun County to the late Fountain and Ruth Yost. She was married to the late Eugene Lane on June 9, 1962. Carolyn assisted her husband with the daily operations of their family-owned pipeline construction business, L & L Pipeline, in Orma, WV for 20 plus years. Carolyn was a very devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
Carolyn is survived by her 3 Daughters, Michelle Lane (Joshua) Gaydos, Rhonda (Charlie) Laughlin, and Vicky (Cecil) Rogers, 7 Grandchildren, Jeremy (Christy) Lane, Cody (Sharon) McCoy, Colton (Erica) Cutshall, Jocey Cutshall, CJ Rogers, Cierra Rogers, and Sherry Rogers, 9 great grandchildren, sister Launa Butler, companion Sonny Lowers, and family member Danny McCoy.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Fountain and Ruth Yost and late husband Eugene Lane.
Carolyn was a Mother, Grandmother, and Friend to many. She opened her door and welcomed others with a big smile, warm heart, and kindness. Carolyn loved her family and friends and never veered from her faith and love for the Lord. As a mother and grandmother, she was always there checking in with each of us offering her support, love, and wisdom to guide us on life’s journey. She will be deeply missed by many but will forever live in our hearts.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 1:00-3:00pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV, with Steve
Boggs officiating. A burial ceremony will then follow at Minnora Cemetery.
The family would also like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Clay Healthcare Center for their love, care, and compassion during the last several months of her journey.
