Norman Receives Civil Air Patrol Promotion

Kyle Norman, a member of the Calhoun Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) was promoted in a ceremony at CAP Headquarters in Grantsville on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Cadet Norman has been a member of CAP for nearly three years and was promoted in rank from Cadet Senior Airman to Cadet Staff Sergeant. Promotions are earned through various training which make youth eligible for fun activities, scholarships, and leadership opportunities.

Parents Bryon and Bridget Norman participated in the Ceremony by pinning Cadet Norman’s new rank lapel pins onto his collar.

Lewis Craddock at lcraddock@wvwg.cap.gov or attend training night on Tuesday’s in Grantsville at the Calhoun Composite Squadron at 6 p.m. Opportunities for youth from age 12 to 18. Adults over 18 can become a Senior Member with training and service opportunities.
