According to Karen Shreve, Pleasant Hill PSD Office Manager, the field crews found one leak today and have it repaired. They are now pressuring up the line, which if it is successful, they will open the last valve on Staunton tpk tonight.
Ms. Shreve stated that the Smithville School currently has “some” water and was said to be on a two hour delay tomorrow due to weather.
9:43 p.m. update: Smithville school is now closed due to the uncertainty of the water situation.
The PSD and other contributors have provided portable water and bottled water to the community.
