Ralph Edward Campbell, Sr., 78, of Mt. Zion, WV, passed away after a courageous battle with many medical issues on April 11, 2024, at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV.
He was born at Philippi, WV, on September 21, 1945, a son of the late Harvey and Vernie Overfield Campbell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving companion, Mary Reed, as well as siblings Pete Campbell and Sarah Gilchrist.
He retired from the Town of Grantsville after 24 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Ralph is survived by children Ralph “Eddie” Campbell, Jr. (Rebecca) and Theresa Cain (Eric Blake); grandchildren Chrissy, Damien, and Maddie Campbell and Kaleb and Amelia Cain; also Brien, Austin, Stephen, and Carson McCormick; and nieces and a nephew. In addition to his grandchildren, he is survived by Mary Reed’s son Bryan Reed and his children, Brandon, Jamie, Keith, and Kayla Reed.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV, with Reverend Tim Davis officiating. Visitation will be held 1PM to 2 pm.
