Rebekah Elizabeth Starks was born November 3, 1998, to Jonathan Peck and Teressa Thompson in West Virginia. Rebekah loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to various locations with her husband (Christopher) and their children (Maliyah, Dawson, Uriah, and Landon). The joy that she had in spending time with her family and friends was evident by her smile, laugh, sense of humor, and overall infectious personality. Rebekah deeply loved serving in her local church Christian Faith Fellowship Temple in various roles to include Praise/Worship team member, Youth Sunday School teacher, Girls Praise Dance team leader and various roles within the Youth department.
Rebekah’s giving nature was present outside the walls of her church as well. Rebekah quietly reached out to various individuals to check on their well-being regardless the condition of her current physical state. In September 2022, Rebekah received life changing news after being diagnosed with Leukemia. In direct opposition to this news Rebekah owned every moment. Rebekah would not let Leukemia take her joy, strength, will, and vigor for life. She utilized Leukemia as an avenue to spread the name of Jesus in every hospital she visited, through social media, and within her local sphere of influence. Her presence was truly felt.
Rebekah’s life has truly impacted multiple generations of believers in Jesus’ name. Through all her mountain top and valley moments Rebekah maintained her joy, dedication to her family, her smile and sense of humor. She smiled through the pain never allowing the present condition an ounce of bragging rights. Her outgoing and charismatic personality always shined bright. So, we salute our precious, loving, kindhearted friend. Rebekah’s presence continues with us through her children and the memories that we have shared with her. She fought a good fight and finished her race with elegance and grace. Rest well Rebekah Elizabeth Starks we love you dearly.
