The excitement of the annual WV Buck Firearms Season builds for weeks prior to opening day. The early morning hours of Monday, November 25th, 2024 began Buck Season opening day, filling the woods with (hopefully) orange clad hunters, hoping to score the the largest buck of the season in their neck of the woods.
Buck Season runs from November 25th to December 8th and Ridgeview News would love to be an outlet for bragging rights. Hunters can send their photographs and email address or phone number to talk2shari@gmail.com or through messenger on Facebook.
Ridgeview will run the photo’s received daily. Two winners will be announced on December 10th, 2024 for the highest scoring points and antler spread. The winners will receive a framed certificate for Buck Season 2024 bragging rights and $100 each. Entries must come in on or before December 9th, 2024 with Photo, Name of hunter, City of Kill, points and antler spread.
