SPENCER, WV—As the year winds down, Route 33 Wrestling (Rt33W) is gearing up for its final event of 2024, Mistletoe Melee, this Saturday, December 7th, at the Spencer Armory. The night promises to deliver explosive action, surprises, and holiday cheer for fans of all ages.
The evening kicks off with doors opening at 6 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated Year-End Awards presentation at 6:30 p.m., recognizing the outstanding performers and moments that defined the year. The first match of the night, the Rural Rumble, is an over-the-top-rope elimination battle royal where competitors will fight for the coveted Mountain Pass Medal. The winner of the medal earns a game-changing opportunity: the chance to cash it in at any time for a title shot.
In the main event, current Rt33W Tag Team Champions Grappling, Inc. (Brox Boulder and Titan Troy) face their toughest challenge yet in a high-stakes rematch against “The Leviathan” Michael Anthony and his new partner, the Jagermeister. This bout follows months of controversy surrounding Anthony, whose ruthless actions have sparked outrage, including injuring former tag team partner Hero Napier, and a shocking physical altercation with Rt33W’s own Boss Lady.
“When you work in this business, you know to expect some chaos,” said the Boss Lady. “But what Michael Anthony has done in the past few months has been nothing short of reckless. Injuries happen in wrestling, but there’s no excuse for putting your hands on someone outside the ring. That said, I couldn’t be prouder of the way our roster has stepped up this year, and I’m confident this event will show just how special Rt33W is. The evening will also feature three mystery matches with randomly selected opponents and secret holiday-themed stipulations, adding an extra layer of intrigue and unpredictability. During intermission, Santa Claus himself will make an appearance, offering fans a chance for photos and spreading festive cheer. Concessions, merchandise, and autograph opportunities round out the family-friendly event.
