The U.S. Postal Service recently announced that a public meeting will be held January 30th at the Charleston Coliseum at 2:30 p.m.
The meeting comes after the Local 133 American Postal Workers Union threatened to file a grievance over the USPS failing to hold a public meeting with regard to consideration of moving some of the postal operations to two facilities in Pennsylvania. That move could delay West Virginia mail by two to three additional days. The Charleston operational processing and distribution center is the only one left in West Virginia and of the 800 facility employees, 500 are represented by the union.
