Stanley D. “Bub” Starcher Jr., 45 of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life in the morning hours of Saturday, January 3, 2026 at his residence due to an unexpected illness.
He was born July 10, 1980 in Grantsville, WV; son of Stanley D. Starcher of Glenville and the late Virginia Lea “Jenny” (Metz) Starcher.
Stanley is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1998. In his free time, Bub enjoyed watching football, going to yard sales, and he was a bigtime movie collector. Last but not least he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces.
Surviving are 3 siblings, Jason Wayne Starcher and significant other Jackelyn and their children, Isaiah, Chloe, and Mikenzy, Michele Starcher and significant other Mark, and their children, Haylee and Raelynn, and Alison Paugh and husband Cody, and their daughter Chloe.
Also surviving is his grandmother, Ruth Roberts, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his mother, Virginia “Jenny”, Bub is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Helen Starcher, Vic Metz, and Bobby Gene Roberts.
Stanley’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted later in 2026.
