An observant citizen in Calhoun driving up Russet Road, on the evening of Thursday, June 29th, 2023, noticed a Toyota, Tacoma with a trailer and several pieces of lawn equipment in the back of the truck, about 4 miles east of Grantsville. Noticing it again on Friday, and wondering why a truck with that type of equipment would be left over night alongside the road, the individual stopped to check it out. As he walked around the truck he noticed the feet of a person laying on the ground. Unsure of the circumstances he enlisted the help of someone else and together they discovered Keith Weinstock of Marietta, in a pool of blood from an apparent self inflicted gunshot.
The State Police were notified about 1 p.m. Friday, and through their investigation it was determined that the death occurred sometime late Thursday evening. Weinstock had no known connection to Calhoun according to his family and apparently randomly chose Calhoun to stop.
