The God of November 6th

By Publisher Shari Johnson

In the realm for which I run, which is a very active group of community and political people, I don’t know any that are not concerned about the results of the election on Tuesday, November 5th. I spent my own share of time this weekend crying out on America’s behalf, that first and foremost God’s will would be done. Praying that our country will be protected from the absolute evil that is knocking on the door. Will it be opened tomorrow for people who believe there is a justification of murdering babies and made a mockery of it at their convention? (I still can’t get over that.) I know that God hasn’t gotten over it either. But God allows the free will of the people, and if they choose to ignore His word on November 5th, November 6th could be the beginning of new era. Our lives would change, but God would not.

Malachi 3:6 – For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

When God wiped out the entire earth (with the exception of Noah and his family,) it would have been great if sin had been wiped out too. But it wasn’t. He did give Noah and his family a chance to begin life anew without the evils that had taken over. But the sinful nature of man continued to the point in Leviticus 18:21 that they too were killing babies. And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shall thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord. They were sacrificing babies in a fire, literally. But just as God promised that He would not destroy the earth again as He did with the flood, He didn’t destroy Israel when they once again disobeyed, He did however leave them to their own devices and took His protective hand away from them. So where does that leave America in scripture?

We’re not mentioned in the Bible. But plenty of countries in our modern day story are, for which we’re playing right into with the current administration.

Just a few months ago personExtremists tore down and burned American flags while chanting “Allahu Akbar” and waving flags of the terrorist group Hamas in Washington D.C.’s Union Station. Videos posted on line showed thousands of protesters attacking United States Park Police who attempted to stop the attack. But the 29 officers that were dispatched from our government were in no way equipped to stop it. Twenty nine. Rioters defaced monuments with graffiti, including “Hamas is coming,” and we sent 29 officers. This is our current administration.

When Venezuelan gangs took over apartment buildings in Chicago in September, Washington played it down saying, it was only a few. American citizens homes were seized by foreigners and our current administration said it wasn’t anything to be concerned about.

November 5th is the day that this could change for better or worse, but God will not change.

Twice this past week I heard through preaching the text in 1 Corinthians 4:2, Moreover it is required in steward, that a man be found faithful.

I’m not saying it’s easy. But Christians have got to stay in the word of God, listening for His guidance, and understanding that we are to remain faithful to what the word says is right. If it goes against the word of God, we cannot support it.

Daniel 2:21 tells us, “And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”

The child of God has understanding through the Spirit of God. The God of November will not forsake us. Pray. Vote. Pray again.

Remain Faithful.
