The Roasting for Tomorrows Festivities at Mt. Zion Community Park Has Begun

The 62nd Annual MT Zion / Calhoun County Ox Roast will open for lunch at 11 a.m. and serve until 5 p.m. on Saturday evening. The Pit was filled and fired with wood early Friday morning by park volunteers and the meat will begin to roast at 6 p.m. It will roast until 11 a.m. at which time the park staff will remove it from the coals and serve it as a single sandwich for $6. or as a meal for $10. The meal will be served with Cole slaw, baked beans, tomato, cake & drink.

Music will be provided throughout the day by David Bowen, a Country fair, Corn Hole games and new to the event a Pie Baking Contest. At the end of it all there will be an auction at 5 p.m. Don’t miss the annual fun of the Ox Roast Event located on Route 16, 5 miles south of Grantsville.
