Sunday’s can be a day of rest for some, but emergencies aren’t limited to the work week for Emergency Services.
Arnoldsburg and Grantsville Volunteer Fire Departments were both dispatched on calls today, although Arnoldsburg was stopped in route to a Motorcycle accident when the rider managed to get back up and take off on his own. Praise God for no injuries!
Grantsville was toned to assist Minnie Hamilton EMS on a working code but there was much ado along the way. Chief Johnson and his crew were on their way to assist Minnie Hamilton EMS when they came across a Dodge Ram Truck laying on its top along Route 5 below Cain’s Riffle. The crew split up with half responding to assist Minnie Hamilton and the other taking care of the accident scene. There were only minor injuries in the accident, nothing requiring an ambulance, which was good because it was on the scene of the code.
Shortly after these two incidents a landing zone was necessary at Minnie Hamilton Health Systems for which the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department took care of.
No photos from any of the accidents were taken.
