Shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, Calhoun Control dispatched Fire, police and ambulance to the scene of a two car collision at the intersection of Route 16 and Route 5 East.
Cpl. D.C. Moore of the West Virginia State Police is the investigating officer of the accident involving Adam Mills of Arnoldsburg, WV and Cheyenne Haines from Elizabeth, WV.
Adam Mills was driving a red all electric Kia Niro which collided into the rear end of a silver Honda Accord driven by Ms. Haines.
Mr. Mills left the scene after speaking to Cpl. Moore, and when asked how the accident occurred, Ms. Haines stated that she was uncertain as to how the two collided. The investigation will continue by Cpl. Moore.
Those who responded to scene were Minnie Hamilton Health System Ambulance Service, Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department, WV State Police and Sheriff Graham Knight as well as Westfall Wrecker Service for towing.
