When LuAnn Johnson, my friend from North Carolina, mentioned the idea of hosting a ladies event, I didn’t tell her, but I for certain questioned whether or not in the middle of the winter, this was a good idea? But I’m always game for an adventure, so we decided to hold the event at the Calhoun County Park on January 6th, 2024.
FYI:
- There’s a good chance the weather will be cool.
- There’s a good chance you’d rather stay home on the weekend.
- There’s a good chance you’ll have a dozen other reasons not to attend.
Here’s a few more:
- You don’t go to my church.
- You don’t go to any church
- You do go to my church and you see enough of me.
Now that we’ve got the excuses for not going out of the way, let me tell you why you should plan on attending.
This is an opportunity for you to start the year 2024 with a focus on how to prepare to have joy, come what may! Nobody will guarantee you that 2024 will be smiles and roses, but it might be. Whether it is, or not, there is joy that can be found within you if you’ve got the right plan in place. Whether you’re an avid Bible reader, or you’ve never picked up the book, this day is for you.
The “New Year🦋New Joy” conference will be just a few hours out of your day where you can join with other women coming together for the same purpose of starting the New Year out with joy and hope. It costs nothing to attend, breakfast and lunch are provided as well as some awesome door prizes and gifts throughout the day.
There will be two messages centered on discovering who you are in the family of God, and a breakout session with an opportunity to have a little fun! There will be music and opportunities to chat it up or just enjoy the banter.
There’s no need to worry about feeling uncomfortable, it’s just friends getting together, some old, some new, and by the end of the day you’ll be glad you spared the time. If you have any questions or concerns, shoot me a message this week and I’ll get back with you as soon as possible.
Make sure you invite your girlfriends and plan on coming joining us at the Barn. The more the merrier!
